Review of Lymphoedema Palliative Care Team
25th April 2021

Great team. Treated with consideration and genuine caring for me as an individual. I appreciated having explanations to my questions too.

Suggested improvements
Little pillow for neck as I have osteoarthritis which makes it hurt if I hold still for any time. Seems shame to have another big towel for laundering Seat nearer outside door would have been appreciated as I got there really early I'm only nit-picking though. This time has forced defensive behaviour on us to keep safe

Response from Cynthia Spencer Hospice

Thank you for your feedback, the team will ensure they ask patients if they are comfortable when lying on the couch receiving treatment. Patients are asked to remain in their cars and not to enter the building when arriving for appointments. In cases where patients have to arrive by public transport they should be advised to call the team and they will be allowed entry to the building and offered a seat, the team will be reminded of this

My husband was treated with care and respect by all of the ladies who came to care for him and it made his final days comfortable and safe. Also they cared about me which I appreciated very much. He passed away on Feb 7th 2021.

I had a lovely time learning tai chi, Debbie was so enthusiastic, it was contagious. I just wish it was a few weeks longer! I am going to try and carry on learning, probably as was suggested, from uTube..I found the gentle movements perfectly suited to my condition and limitations.

All the staff are very warm, respectful, treats people with dignity, and welcoming. It’s always a joy to go there and always look forward to the time spent there. They are very good at their jobs. I recommend the Center for any one who needs to use their services.

The service provided by the team at Cynthia Spencer is excellent. The sessions are informative and lots of fun. As the virtual groups are smaller in numbers, I feel that they are better and the patients get more attention. The team are very knowledgeable.
