I like to come to the day hospice as it gets me out of the house. The staff are always caring and very helpful. Gretta had big shoes to fill and is doing a great job.

I felt confident that Barry was being looked after properly with kindness and respect and some laughs thrown in, also the fast that some were nurses meant a lot. All the HCH team would listen to problems. Give advice and help with feeding and daily care which took some of the weight off my shoulders. Just being able to sit quietly with them for a chat meant a lot. I know Barry was happier a lot. I know Barry was happier when they were there, I don't think we would have coped without them. I know there are budget constraints but it would have been such a big help if they could have done night sits as this was a problem with the care company we had.

It gave my sister in law the time to take a break, even a couple of hours is a help, when you are caring for some one 24/7 and me who helped part time to have a cup of tea on my own.
