It took a few minutes to build up a a relationship with the patient. First visit really important explained what they are important/ reason for coming. Not pressured to do more than they are proposed to accept.
Everyone from hospice at home, community palliative nurses, Cransley hospice and the staff from prime care were fantastic in the care they gave to our loved one. Each and everyone of you showed compassion, empathy and incredible kindness in such difficult circumstances. Their care is not just good it is outstanding. We feel that there is no need for any improvement to this great team of professionals.
Day hospice.
Friendly staff. Professional and caring.
In a safe environment we are able to share our worries, successes etc with friends going through similar things. Staff are always easy to approach and eager to help.
I was made to feel very welcomed. The atmosphere is lovely and calming. The course has been tremendously helpful and I am using what we have been tought on daily basis.
I found that some or a lot of the information given was very helpful. It was good to have new ideas and see people who are worse than I am. So that I am more grateful about my condition. I do have problem but am not so limited.
I was really impressed with how the team linked together with the other two stands.( Age UK extra care and prime care) It was obvious and a relief to me that our support was being coordinated in the background. The nurse provided day and night despite was just right or patient final days over helped with immediate tans that couldn't wait with scheduled care. This enabled for patient to remain home and prevented a hospital.
I cannot tell you how comforting your nurses were, and how they all gave me strength. I was able to feel "normal" when I was out with one of the nurses caring for Bob. He was happy too. Especially at when he saw Diane Cameron, she was great. Bob died painfree and peacefully at home as I wanted. Thanks to your team.
-Everyone was/is very friendly and helpful.
-Course content was relevant and participation encouraged.
-Very enjoyable as well as informative!
Nothing was too much trouble for the cares and they quickly became part of our family. They treated my husband with warmth and respect, having a laugh with him but always taking care to make sure he retained his dignity. They also gave me wonderful advice and offered me time to pop out to get shopping etc. When they were at home. I also was offered and accepted a sitting service so that I could get sleep at night.
