Please be aware this review would have been written in 2016 had I been aware of this site I have read the other reviews on this page and struggle to recognise it as the same hospice. My father passed away a few days after arrival at the hospice but over those days if it hadn't been for myself and other family members caring for my father it disturbs me deeply to think of the discomfort and suffering he would have experienced at the end of his life. There seemed a general lack of staff as commented on by my Mother when she asked if they were short staffed. There was no one to one care given at any point. Our family had to stay with my father overnight due to him vomiting to ensure he didn't choke as there was no one else looking after him other than infrequent checks every few hours during the night (he was unable to move by this time). Oral care that should have been regularly given wasn't at all, this was commented on several times to doctors and nurses but nothing was done. I would not recommend Cynthia Spencer to any family or friends after this experience
