I am replying for my wife who had fought cancer for 15years. Over that time she had various chemo and 3 years ago a bone marrow transplant. She was fine until last autumn when KGH found the cancer had returned. She underwent more chemo at KGH over the winter and made good progress. In the spring we went to Ireland for our grandsons first holy communion she was fine. Towards the end of June she started to feel a bit unwell and our doctor suggested go to KGH. They kept her in and she had a scan which shower the cancer had returned very aggressive nothing they could do. She had excellent care in there. She came home about the 10th July as she wanted to be at home. Marie Currie arranged her care with age uk coming in daily. Towards the end a nurse from Lakelands in Corby came in at night. She passed away on the 31st July with all her family around her. The care she had from all was superb. I thank you all for it.
