Share review of Cynthia Spencer Hospice
Mum was assessed promptly when admitted.
She had chosen the hospice because she had been visiting for some years to get support from the lymphoma nurses and father. Their support had given her great peace of mind and she was keen to come into a place into a place where she had built up their relationship of trust.
She enjoyed the massage and acupuncture. Staff were so attentive and anxious to make her comfortable and to answer our questions. Here the guest room to use was very helpful since we all lived a distance away. A suggestion is that there are staff who are experienced with hearing aid adjustments because mum struggled with this. Only regret is that the GP practice does so like ineffective responding to his deterioration that she suffered so much before being admitted- if only she could have come here a bit sooner.
Thank you for your feedback regarding the hearing aid adjustments. Our clinical team will investigate obtaining some simple instructions so that staff can follow these when adjusting hearing aids
