Lots of helpful information given in a reasonable time but also at a time where I could concentrate ie not during work or in the evening when not practicle with putting my little one to bed. This is not a moan in anyway as I appreciate NHS timescales/wait lists and lack of staff and post-pandemic etc, however it has been 9 months since my original request for continence support to the workshop attendance and feel that if we were/future parents were given the opportunity to join the workshop at a much earlier point in the pathway we could have implemented the advice a lot earlier on and continence problems may now have possibly been resolved. I really appreciated the workshop and gave me a lot of ‘food for thought’. Thank you.

The workshop was provided well although most of the information given I had already received over the phone on my initial contact. Maybe a bit more guidance on input and output charting would be helpful as it is quite a daunting prospect!

[name removed] was amazing, she addressed my concerns in very delicate but informative manner. She showed her understanding and tried to give me solutions to my problems (soultions I havent heard about before). I wish I spoke to [name removed] before when I was seeking support from health visiting team. I walked out of our appointment more positive and encouraged.

I phoned the hub and spoke to a recovery navigator on 02/06. She was so empathetic and supportive it made me feel much safer at a very scary time. In my past I have had poor experiences. If you phone the hub in a bad way and you get an unsupportive person it can make you deteriorate swiftly, I have historically gone from crisis to actively suicidal from these encounters. Conversely, if you get someone full of empathy and hope it can help swing things around very powerfully, I would say the first 30seconds of these calls set the foundation for your recovery going forward. The lady that answered my call was a shining example of exactly what the hub and mental health services are all about and I start this week in a much better place. I can be safer, more secure, a better father and husband and with the knowledge that I know what to do in an emergency. Thank you from the bottom of my heart [name removed]

[name removed] was incredible she was warming and welcoming and the room set up was so engaging for my son so i could talk properly and concentrate on the progress check. [name removed] gave fantastic support and advice on a few subjects i was having issues with and myself and myself and [name removed] came away smiling. The whole experience was so positive that i know if we needed to attend medical appointments again [name removed] would be excited not reluctant. [name removed] is a credit to the team and i hope we see her again in the future.
