On this day I was seen by Ann Cufaude, who from the get go seemed extremely unenthusiastic, I soon learned that she was not usually supposed to work on a Friday, a fact which she felt the need to tell me 5 minutes into my appointment, I did not feel this was relevant to me and made me feel uncomfortable knowing she did not want to be there. She then proceeded to not take the time to even get my name right when calling me out in front of a room of people, embarrassing and now and ongoing joke between us. She sounded unimpressed that I was not as far along as my midwife had estimated and the continued to tell me she would not be able to perform a down syndrome screening that day. I told her I had some family waiting to see after the measurements etc. had been taken, to which her response was if she had enough time. She was extremely rough when finding the baby and continued to press at an uncomfortable force on my abdomen not checking to see I was okay with the force. She then allowed my family to come into the room for around 1 minute where she then told them to leave because she needed oxygen in the room for the rest of the day. At this point she told my partner to go and get money for the pictures. Once he had left the room she told me not to bring anyone to my next appointment. After my appointment she told me to go and sit down and that they may or may not be able to boom my anomaly scan because they were too busy. I was and still am disgusted with the behaviour of this particular individual and the treatment I received on this day. I felt that this should be the most important and exciting appointment I would have and although I have find memories of seeing my child for the first time, these memories are overshadowed by Ann Cufaude's lack of empathy and general lack of kindness.
