All the nurses were attentive and caring. The housekeepers ensured I was well fed and the bay happy and clean. Doctor arranged appointment, much appreciated no improvement required or necessary from my experience.
Lots of reassurance, Encouraged to be proactive in my recovery. TLC in ward immediately after theatre was very good. It helped me feel more confident when I was moved to rehab. Prior to my operation everything was clearly explained. Staff were all professional, reassuring and made me feel safe. This played a big part in helping me feel OK in recovery and rehab.
What could be improved. The anesthetist told me to clear with physio that I needed pain meds 1/2 hrs before exercise to start with. First physio agreed, we worked out how this could happen. Different physio was busy, said he had a meeting. I found I had to be very assertive and was eventually given pain meds, he then did not return. A very negative experience. Third physio was great, she answers queries and was very positive and encouraging.
Notice you don't ask/record sexuality, studies show that LGBT clients prefer this.
Everyone very supportive, helpful and caring.
Thank you (The patient's daughter).
Very kind.
Everybody very considerate and courteous and friendly.
Including domestics and kitchen staff.
Communication between staff and patients could be improved. Too often I was left in ignorance about what was happening in my treatment.
Efficient, friendly and approachable care.
The care on the ward was very good.
The food is not as good as it has been in the past.
Got tomatoes were bad and got a parkin was frozen.
Personally I have had excellent service. Nurses, Otsard Phystos been very friendly, helpful and attentive. Very good service throughout - not pushy but been there when needed. Thank you very much - made recovery much easier.
