Staff are very understanding and always there to help in tough times the only thing I would surgest is we need more then 72 hours care. I think such a short stay worrys patients and could lead to being depressed and anxious as sometimes we need a couple of weeks time out to get a better understanding of our conditions and how to cope with them properly also during my stay I havent seen any of my key workers so that makes me feel at times Im on my own. Not good especially when I get scucidal thoughts.

Response from Berrywood Hospital

Thank you for your feedback which we take very seriously. We have looked at our staffing levels on our inpatient wards and are satisfied that we can provide care in a safe way. However, we have had to rely recently on an unusual number of temporary staff which, we realise, does not always provide the continuity and quality of care that patients expect. We are actively recruiting more permanent staff and, wherever possible, using the same temporary staff so they get to know patients. We are also training the temporary staff so that they can better support regular staff with activities both within and outside the hospital. We will be closely monitoring feedback.

All the staff in the labour ward are always there to talk when needed, although at times they seem overstretched. It is not the first time I have been on the ward.

The staff supportive me through my ups and downs and didn't give up on me when l was having a blip, they shown they cared, and kept me going. They made me laugh and helped distract myself.
