I was treated with respect and kindness in all but some of the staff a bit not very kind especially at night shifts and there was too much noise that made me not sleep quite well enough.

Suggested improvements
The noise at night could not have been prevented since I know I am in a hospital where there are patients are more poorly than others.

Response from Berrywood Hospital

I am really sorry about this. We emphasize the need for staff to keep noise at a minimum at night so I will send your comment to the ward matron as a reminder. Best wishes Hugh Jones, Patient Experience Manager.

Response from Berrywood Hospital

We are sorry you found the ward noisy at times. This is a difficulty with the nature of the ward and is something we struggle to change depending on the patient group. We do try and encourage a calm environment and will work with patients to try and help them achieve a calmer environment when they are in hospital. I am sorry you found staff at night less kind and have shared these comments with the team. It is expected that you be treated with kindness and respect by all staff during your stay and if for any reason you are not we would encourage you discuss this with your named nurse or the ward matron to address this.
