I attended put patient bloods department following a hernia operation. I was seen by a lady called Julie Trueman who I found to be unprofessional and very abrupt. During my appointment she made no eye contact and not speak to me at all, instead she stood complaining to a colleague about her busy day. I told her she was hurting me and she was not able to get blood a first attempt and again without speaking turned round to get another needle. When I told her "just leave it please" she said "suit yourself duck" in a sarcastic manner. I work as a practitioner for the trust myself and do understand how stressful and busy work can be. However, I do feel that Julie Trueman would benefit from some supervision around her patient care and how she portrays herself to the public. (I cannot be positive about the date I attended the unit but it approximately 7 days after my operation).
