Review of Oxfordshire Stroke Rehabilitation Unit (OSRU)
1st February 2024

Generally the care has been attentive, constant, good quality and cheerful. I have made good progress.

Suggested improvements
The food was more than disappointing. Level 4 and Level 5 foods were inedible. There is a lack of fresh vegetables, too much stodge and carbohydrate and too much is too sweet. My family despaired of me getting better on such food. It has been a relief to get to the better food of L6 and L7. The absence of a SaLT imposed a burdensome fortnight of nil by mouth. It’s not acceptable to have no SaLT in a stroke unit for such a period.

Review of Abingdon Minor Injuries Unit
31st January 2024

The unit was quiet and I was seen quickly. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Sarah the nurse was excellent, checking my ankle thoroughly and then explining what she had found on the x-ray in a really clear and helpful way.

Suggested improvements
The service could not have been better.
