Review of Abbey Ward

I think the therapy has been good, the help that is get with everything has been good. I’ve lost a taste of food but that was before I came in to hospital, so I have sauces with most foods

Suggested improvements
The communication is but a little difficult at times because of the language barrier and they are unsure of what I am talking about

Everything, I feel safe and comfortable here.

Suggested improvements
The only thing I would say it’s to have a tv in the bays, the iPads are good but they keep freezing me.

Dr Como was the out of hours GP, he was very patient with me over the phone and was able to advise on why I ahd been given conflicting advice and due to his expereicne and knowledge of the lcoal area was able to correctly advise me on the best action for me to take to recieve the best treatment he had above normal consideration into te most safe and effective treatment for my conditons which was due to a dog bite. He was very understanding of my frsutration. Usually whenever I even express any emotion to some staff over the phone I am told that any abusive treatment is not acceptable, well this was not the case here, my complaint and grieveances were fully listened to and I was made to feel like a human being who had infact been incorrectly advised by someone else and now this professional was taking accountability for the mistake and even was able to repeat all of his advise and also give me hope by saying "your luck is going to change now" and this Dr. Como defiantely was able to prevent a considerable error by another staff memeber but due to assertiveness and proactiveness he was able to understand why the mistake had been made and also explain to me how to avoid this situation in the future. Thank you Out-of-hours GP Dr. Como

Most of the staff are very helpful, kind and caring, some are ok. The food is good. Plenty of teas and coffees to drinks. The therapy is great.

Suggested improvements
Sometimes the doctors are not always available when you want to see them
