Appointment for wound review after back surgery not available on date hospital suggested but was offered one within 2 days of it.

No appointments available in the timeframe required, ended up with an infection and requirement to pay for a prescription for antibiotic cream to treat. If an appointment was available at the correct time, infection and expense could have been avoided.
Suggested improvements
Better communication from doctor on the procedure would have been good as it was not explained what was going to happen and better availability of appointments.

I rung for appointment helpful receptionist got me booked in quickly good service ! [name removed] was very helpful answered all my queries an put a plan in going forward which will benefit me !

We take pride in offering the highest standard of patient centred healthcare for the community of Kendal and the surrounding areas. Operating across 2 sites, we are the largest General Practice in the South Lakes area and offer a range of services at both. We offer some evening and weekend appointments.
We understand the importance of listening to our patients, and reflecting on feedback so that we can make improvements if necessary. Its also great to hear when we're making a positive difference!
