I called at 8 to get an appointment for my 12 day old baby who has an eye infection. She wasn’t even registered at the surgery yet. The doctor called me back within an hour and we saw him at midday. I felt well looked after and appreciated the speedy response.

I got cut off when i eventually got to the front of the telephone queue after 30 mins of waiting so had to call back and wait another 20 mins to get to the front of the queue. Perhaps a fail safe phone system that can’t cut patients off would be good?

Just seems really difficult to get to see a doctor now, this time was ok but previously not. I live alone, really poorly with cold/cough etc, in bed for days, told no appointments would have to ring at 8.00, not sleeping well, not able to ring at 8.00 no appointments left when I could ring, told might be able to have telephone appointment in about 3 days. Distressed as barely any relief from extreme coughing worried about heart rate. Do doctors ever do home visits now?

To feel I could at least talk to someone for 5 minutes to reassure me something dreadful wasn’t happening as I felt so ill. Difficult when you live alone.

I have ongoing leg ulcers and big outbreak of excema all over but especially on my legs. I was given very helpful advice for which I am grateful

Maybe more face to face APTS with Drs.
