Appointments take at least 2 weeks to see a nurse practitioner and treatment process is generally slower.
Suggested improvements
It would be better if there is option of cancelled appointments made available for patients who are waiting.
With me, the guidance given for the condition by nurse practitioner was not in the treatment I have seen in the nhs website.

This appointment was easy to get but it's sometimes very hard to get one

Even though the surgery was quiet I was still 5 minutes late going in, receptionist didn't speak to me much apart from asking the usual questions

Sometimes not able to get an appointment if you call after lunch
Suggested improvements
Try to keep some appointments Especially on a Friday afternoon as being told if symptoms get worse to phone 111 or go to the hospital often you will put that off as not to take up hospital time

We take pride in offering the highest standard of patient centred healthcare for the community of Kendal and the surrounding areas. Operating across 2 sites, we are the largest General Practice in the South Lakes area and offer a range of services at both. We offer some evening and weekend appointments.
We understand the importance of listening to our patients, and reflecting on feedback so that we can make improvements if necessary. Its also great to hear when we're making a positive difference!
