Seamless service with Maude’s Street surgery! Friendly reminder’s sent prior to my appointment. Surgery was spotless, GP was professional and very friendly! Her care was thorough and she arranged the appropriate follow-up for my medical complaint.
Suggested improvements
Long time to wait for an actual appointment. But I appreciate it was not an emergency, so I understood that other patients appointments would take priority.

I was fortunate enough to be seen by a GP on the day that I phoned for an appointment.
This rarely happens, but on this occasion the GP went out of her way to see me.
I have got to say that I was really impressed with the [name removed] [name removed].
Out of all GPs that I have been seen by, [name removed] [name removed] was the most approachable and thorough.
She listened to everything I said, examined me for problems and made sure my urine sample was correct and sent off for testing the same day. So I can not speak highly enough of [name removed] [name removed].
Suggested improvements
This might sound a bit silly, but the screen in the waiting area calls people in for their appointments, but it only shows on one side of the room, so if you’re sat in the area nearest reception you don’t know it’s your turn to go.
This is the Maude street practice.
Also only one toilet was open, the other one you had to go and ask for the toilet to be opened, so not so good if you need to get to the loo quickly.
There’s some good information on the big screen but the writing moves on too quickly for people to read.

Got an appointment the same day to see doctor receptionist was friendly and helpful didn't have to wait long to see the doctor

We take pride in offering the highest standard of patient centred healthcare for the community of Kendal and the surrounding areas. Operating across 2 sites, we are the largest General Practice in the South Lakes area and offer a range of services at both. We offer some evening and weekend appointments.
We understand the importance of listening to our patients, and reflecting on feedback so that we can make improvements if necessary. Its also great to hear when we're making a positive difference!
