It is not so difficult to get an initial appointment but I had to wait over a week to get a blood test.

The two appointments I had with [name removed] were both very thorough.

Had to ring at 0800 to get an appointment, but I was able to get a same day, face to face, appointment, which was great.

Because Dr. [name removed] explained my problem and a course of action very well and clearly. The surgery was clean, the receptionists very polite and helpful a nd it was easy to get an appointment and sooner than I expected.

Helpful kind honest receptionists but it does take time to get GP appointments, but I also appreciate the GP I wish to see ( for continuity on this issue ) works very limited hours at the moment.so that's inevitable. Took a few weeks to get a blood test which it would be good if that could be a bit shorter.

Have more GPs/clinicians for blood work to reduce waitlists..... (sorry!)

I’ve never had a problem at James Cochrane Surgery. Reception staff are always pleasant and courteous.
Drs are always very professional and friendly.

We take pride in offering the highest standard of patient centred healthcare for the community of Kendal and the surrounding areas. Operating across 2 sites, we are the largest General Practice in the South Lakes area and offer a range of services at both. We offer some evening and weekend appointments.
We understand the importance of listening to our patients, and reflecting on feedback so that we can make improvements if necessary. Its also great to hear when we're making a positive difference!
