I needed help from a specialist GP and the practice nurse to ensure that dressings were regularly changed and that wound healing was monitored. Without this support I would have had to take my chances at the Urgent Treatment Centre at Westmoreland General.

I think it’s difficult when you’re under so much pressure and recruitment / retention is such a challenge. However, I am aware of friends in Kendal who are getting better and more consistent treatment than appears to be the norm at James Cochrane. This is a pity.
