I am finding it more and more impossible to get an appointment and thought it was disgusting that I was expected to take my ill child to hospital on Monday because I couldn't get an appointment even though his ear was leaking blood. We had to wait over 3 hours at the hospital because they were so busy because patients can't into the docs and when you ask around Hames cochrane has a very bad reputation for it been so hard to make appointments.I rang Tuesday morning to make an appointment later in the week as he needed a check up to be told by a snotty male receptionist that I needed to phone at 8am and it is now 10.15am it is not always possible to phone at that time and even when you do you can be waiting 1/2 hour for somebody to answer to be then told there are no appointments .I was grateful to speak to speak to a different receptionist on Wednesday who managed to make our Friday appointment.I found the receptionist at Maude Street not very friendly and hard work as we needed to make another appointment and again it wasn't an easy process.

Suggested improvements
Stop making it so difficult to make an appointment and for the receptionists to decide whether or not an appointment is classed as urgent or not I have found this all very stressful as my little boy has had troubles with his ears from a very young age and not getting appointments could set him back again was unfair to make him go to hospital and wait for over 3 hours when feeling rotten.I would of thought that blood and liquid literally dripping from a childs ear and high temp should of been classed as an urgent and should of been seen.
