My previous experience was like a nightmare. My travel plans were changed at short notice and I found myself short of meds for my amended trip. I spoke to Boots Pharmacy who marked my Script “urgent”. I took it to The Glebe Reception. This was pm 24 July from my recollection. Every possible reason was given for not signing my Script and even the following day it still was missing. Boots helped and I received my meds 12 hours before my departure.
I realise there are protocols and rules to be adhered to where medication is concerned but surely the system’ must have some slack built in to accommodate unusual events.
Likewise, ‘showing/feeling empathy’ towards patients is a skill some Receptionist need to be briefed on.
Thank you.
I am new to the surgery and the handover has been exceptional. I made an appointment to see the Nurse Practitioner, as advised by the knowledgable receptionist, for the next day.
Very impressed with Dr Woolaston, she went above and beyond helping me. Making me feel that I had made the right decision seeing her. Thank you.
The receptionist was also very efficient and helpful.
Impossible to see my GP face to face athough I have heart issues and BP issues. My prescriptions os never reviewed after 20 yrs on drugs. Why can’t I see a GP or my GP to discuss my health matters ? A tel consultation us useless for stetoscope or genecological issues ! I praise the nurses who work very hard in these situation. But seeing your doctor is essential for important matters
NHS at its best!
