Although we try to have two receptionists at our front desk during busy times, they support each other with patient queries to ensure that our patients are given the correct information first time. We have receptionists with varying levels of experience, so our more knowledgeable team members are often used to support the learning of newer members. I apologise that this can cause a delay to patients waiting to speak to someone. This is a necessary part of staff training to allow us to have enough people to look after our patients.
