I requested a phone call appt as I had a sore throat and knew I needed antibiotics I have one which usually works for me Dr Sherwell was reluctant to prescribe he wanted me to have penicillin, I expressed I wanted amoxicillin he prescribed it, today I ended up at Brighton hospital having a quinsy lanced I’m now on phenoxymethylpenicillin, Could it of been avoided had I of listened to the guy with considerable more medical knowledge than me, who knows but next time I’ll do as he advises, thank you

Suggested improvements
Nothing I received a great service, I always prefer face to face but the phone option was my preference this time as I just thought it was a sore throat, my quinsy was not obvious till today, a and e sent me home on Saturday saying it’s not a quinsy let the antibiotics work, today at a and e, steroids fluids painkillers and penicillin based antibiotic before being sent to Brighton to get it lanced, I have just been given a machine for mild sleep apnoea, last night I wore it even whilst awake as I felt the pressure made it easier for me to breath, it registered 8 events per hour, registrations since last Monday were less than 1 per hour, thank god I had it on, thank you for your service
