I have been coming to this surgery for years and have never had a problem with anyone, until today. One of the staff in the office was very rude, very unhelpful and her attitude was that I should not be there. Even though I told her that I had received a letter from the hospital suggesting that I could get a prescription from the GP if it was easier. She kept saying that the hospital "always does this". As if it is my fault. I was shocked at her attitude and will be making a formal complaint. I never got the prescription that I needed and will now have to go up to Barnet Hospital to get it.
By the way I am a 68 years pensioner who was given a hospital appointment with very short notice hence the urgency. I need to take this medicine before my hospital procedure in a few days.
I have been impressed by Dr Whiter : taking time, thinking through issues and explaining ramifications, and her thoroughness in exploring concerns. She also has an excellent manner which inspires confidence.
The reception area is very light and very warm which makes patients feel cared for to start with. My doctor is perfect because she is so attentive to start with and then very understanding. I feel so grateful for the service and help you already provide and give, especially in this day and age.
We are new to the surgery having moved from Dartford 4 months ago. We have receivd expert advice from Dr Drewry and Dr Patel - so thank you and "strength to your elbow" as my mother used to say!
I have to say that all the staff at St Andrews are superb. Lorraine at reception is a gem and always knows what to say to bring a smile to your face.
Dr Patel is equally as professional and personable.
I would HIGHLY recommend this medical practice
