The nurse I saw (Joy) explained about my wound care, she cleaned the area thoroughly, put a new dressing on and said if I had any questions or was at all concerned to ring and book another appointment. I went back a week later as wound felt rather sore, she again cleaned it and advised to leave the dressing off which I was happy with. On both occasions she was gentle, kind and informative. Sometimes it is difficult to book an appointment if you want this a week or two in advance. The phone lines are always busy but you are able to hold your place in the queue by simply pressing your own phone button and the surgery ring you back when your turn becomes available. It is understandable that we sometimes have to wait for appointments due to the number of people calling on the services of our doctors and nurses.
