I joined Park End Survey over a year ago after losing trust in my previous GP because they did not listen and left me in pain for years and sent me to have an examination that had nothing to do with my symptoms. Sadly, my trust in the NHS has not improved at this practice. I asked to have an examination done because I recognised the symptoms. They prescribed a number of tests. I asked them not to send them to the Royal Free because they got things wrong in the past. I was overruled by Dr Fenton. Results came back negative, meaning it was all in my head. I insisted I should see a gastroenterologist, who despite having no doubt it was IBS he requested internal examinations. It turned out I had an infection in my stomach - as I had repeatedly said - and was put on medication for 2 weeks - 20 pills a day. It took me just over a year to get to this point. I then saw Dr Arulnesan to check the infection had completely gone and other follow ups. Nothing was done on the day but since I was due to see a nurse in a few weeks' time he would have addressed the issues I had then. I emailed the practice to cancel my nurse appointment explaining why: I was still waiting for Dr Arulnesan to get back to me. I never received a reminder for the nurse appointment so they must have got my email. I am still waiting to hear from any of them. Unfortunately, this is not the only example I can give. No one has ever apologised to me.
