This is not the first time I’ve had an issue with your appointment system that doesn’t work.
You spend a good half an hour trying to get through, then you either get on the queue that then says you’re in the queue, or you then get the message that says there are no more appointments available for today, and this is all before 9am.
On top of this I’m an asthmatic and to wait all day for a Ventolin that was marked up as urgent. I went into the surgery twice that day once to drop the prescription off and went back about 3 hrs later to see if it had been done. The pharmacy knew I was an asthmatic because I had explained this when dropping off the prescription.
I know my asthma and ended up going to hospital on the following day and asking to go on a nebuliser.
To gain an appointment you have to complete an online form that is only open from 8am until 8.22am. The form asks for a lot of detail, and has to be completed fast - which is difficult at that time of day, just when people are getting ready for work, or getting children ready for school/driving to school.
I don't think the service is particularly good or bad.
Cannot book at the surgery anymore it takes age's to get through by phone
I feel the care I received was very good things were explained in a way I understood easily the only problem I find is getting an appointment
