You can never get an appointment, if you manage to it is always weeks away and in some cases months

When you book an appointment the receptionist will ask you what is the appointment for I find this is very inappropriate. What happened to medical in confidence? When you see the nurse or doctor they ask you why you’re here to see them, because they don’t know. So what is point of telling the receptionist. Also on the Website for North brink practice it says that it is HMF Veteran friendly, the staff know nothing about this surely all the staff should know about what is on the website. I’m a Veteran and the receptionists do not know the NHS policy to Veterans getting treated.

The on line Triage requet is absolutely rubbish you cannot actually put down what is wrong so you have to put something that is not really relevant to what your problem is the i waited nearly all day for a telephone call in which I wasn't really give much chance to explain what I wanted. Just to be told we're going to send you for physiotherapy which seems to be the answer for everything Just goes to show how much they know it was a telephone appointment and on this it wants my opinion of the state of the surgery

Could have gave me a chance to explain what I wanted in person with someone ,could make the triage form so you can put in what your problem is and not tag on to something that is not relevant

After having pain in my elbow and lower arm for 6 weeks I filled in a triage on line and a phone call later on saying that an appointment had been made for the physio in two weeks how can a doctor know what’s wrong without seeing me and a physio puts right an injury so my question is do I have an injury?

You certainly have to be patient ! I usually manage to get through and get a call back on the same day, but I know that's not everyone's experience.

Suggested improvements
Have more phone lines so patients aren't queuing and getting anxious. I can't think of another solution that would sort this problem out other than all hands to the pump (phone lines) for the first hour to get the rush out of the way.

I filled in a triage form online with my problem and said I didn’t mind a telephone consultation, they telephoned when they could, I know priority calls come first, so they rang me when they could. Very happy with everything. I find the online triage form easier and faster.

I can’t think of anything at present.
