Quick response when I am in need, and the level of care is perfect
diagnosis made by the nurse was spot on. I had appendicitis & was referred to QE immediately I think the new triage system works well & I was not kept waiting at all. Well done.
As advised to book in the morning I rang the following day. Straight after answering the lady did inform me that there were no appointments available for that day and offered an appointment 4 days later. I accepted that as I did not want to be trouble. Later I thought why I was not booked the following day in that case. Nevertheless I was ready for visit on Friday and set off for it early enough to reach North Brink on time. Unfortunately due to some works being done and heavy traffic I arrived late and reported the reason to the Receptionist. She did not offer me to wait until doctor could see me but blatantly said that I should re-book and nearest available appointment could be in two weeks time. I could not book that appointment as I was expecting to be busy on that day. I said simply "No, thank You. " and said "Good bye". Today in the morning though I received a text message informing me of "not attending" my appointment and a threat of being "warned". What kind of childish behaviour does this practice practise?
There is no information on the website for mental health issues, nor is there listed any doctor, practice nurse, or health professional who deals with mental health issues. Also, it is extremely difficult to get an appointment, especially with your own doctor, or with a doctor at all.
Jane Hames superb.
