It’s not always easy to get an appointment if you don’t phone first thing in the morning. My appointment was for a week after I rang up but as it was a none urgent procedure I think that it was a reasonable wait time.

I think you should be able to discuss more than one problem within the same appointment to save having to make more appointments.

After completing the triage form I received a call from reception advising me to attend minor injuries unit rather than an appointment at the surgery. Therefore on this occasion I am not able to comment on the condition of the surgery. My contact with the receptionist was very good.

I was somewhat surprised to be directed to minor injuries without having been seen by a medical professional at the surgery. I was also met with some displeasure at the minor injuries unit having been told that I should have been seen at my surgery in the first instance.

The nurse listened to what I was saying and asked questions about my symptoms and explained possible causes. The surgery is busy and unless you are able to access the triage system early in the day you will probably not get an appointment that day.

In the online triage program, maybe add a ‘free text’ area where the user can put a comment about their condition that has not been covered in the multiple choice sections.

I filled a triage form in on the morning, got a call at 12.20pl to say from the information filled in I needed to seen by someone and I was offer an appointment for 13.45pm which given how it usually is trying to get an appointment I was very impressed

I don’t think anything could have been done better on this visit
