I use to get a repeat prescription by phoning. This option has now been removed. So I now have to get time off work to come to the Surgery to request my meds. I then have to get time off to come over and pick them up. The service has made my life more difficult and I was not consulted or considered. How is this progress??

There should be appointments available with own gp so that gp is familiar with the patient. This would shorten appointments because the patient does not have to constantly state their history. Appointments with nurses does not provide enough feedback to the patient; the nurses do not have enough knowledge to provide this when the patient explains symptoms. There should be more appointments available with gp's, maybe more gp's is the solution. The solution is not more appointments with nurse practitioners or nurses, which seems to be the current solution to dealing with more patients.
