I generally book online as more convenient. I like the GP supervised clinics as they make best use of the staff. The nurses are very good and put you at ease so that you can talk about how you are feeling, that way if you do need to see the doctor you have had time to get everything sorted and written down so that it makes sense and the doctor doesn't have to sort out what you really mean. The doctor's time is not wasted. On my last two visits I was very well looked after.

I had a recent appointment at the practice & indeed received great care! I completed your form at the time. This is a different matter. I am not happy with the on-line prescription service; prior to going on line, I was quite happy with the repeat prescription service. The cut-off point if one does not renew on time is too abrupt. I know that you would want to encourage folk to order on time & not to abuse their medication. I have only one item which is 'repeatable' this is an HRT pessary used twice weekly. Sometimes I forget to use it on time. I was told in my previous practice that it was ok if there was a bit of irregularity. This means that the 'supply' might last longer than the month prescribed. Add to this the fact that, as with many people, I do go away occasionally for days or a week or more (and I cannot order before a given date). I find that I am having to renew ... bring in ID, fill in forms etc, in order to repeat this prescription. I know that the responsibility in this is mine. But I feel that there should be at least an extra week added in before the cut of point. Incidentally, in my previous practice - in Scotland - I would be prescribed 3 months supply, if not 6 months. One month goes by very quickly!

Being relatively old and a recovering cancer patient, I have a number of long term medical problems and I am at the moment consuming a lot of NHS time and resources. I have been referred to a number of consultants, each has requested medication to be added to my regular prescription. This process is taking so long, that I am likely to see the consultant for a follow up appointment before I have been able to take the prescribed medication. This is a waste of the consultants time and may result in my illness not being treated in a timely fashion. According to the notes on the electronic repeat prescription system I am receiving one particular medication regularly. In fact this drug has production problems and has been unavailable since Oct/Nov 2016. An alternative has been suggested by my consultant, but it has not been added to my prescription options. With regard to the new electronic prescription service. I must point out that had I not been already registered to use it. I would have found it extremely difficult to meet the ID requirement. As an English National, 62 year old, I do not have any form of Photo ID and certainly not two examples. My driving license is the old paper type and my passport expired many years ago. In any case Photo ID is only of value if your ID can be proved at the point the Photo is taken. How is that done without Photo ID. Since I have been a patient at the practice since my birth, it might be expected that my ID is already confirmed. Those without access to a computer and the internet are going to experience great difficulty with the new prescription "service". Requiring the old to travel to the surgery each month to renew a prescription and then again a few days later to collect it, is unreasonable. On the section regarding was the surgery clean, I have marked this down. As during the summer months the surgery was plagued by house flies. One can only guess what was attracting them. but there was a bad smell by the main door waiting area.

Saw Hannah as a same day appointment, she couldn't have been lovelier. It had obviously been a busy hour as there were 2 ambulances outside the surgery and Hannah could not appologize enough for my slightly extended waiting times.

I phoned at 8.15am and my call was 3rd in the queue and I was waiting no longer that 3 minutes. I was offered an appointment with Nurse Practitioner which was fine as I knew I didn't need to see a Doctor. I was seen on time, the Nurse who's name I have forgotten was very professional, courteous and caring. Thank you.
