It's always such a challenge to get a same day appt after 8 45 it's nearly impossible
I wasn't given the help required, even though I have multiple health conditions, including now, long covid.
I have been at this surgery since Birth and have seen a gradual decline in patient care especially over the last 5-6 years. I have a 77 year old mother who has never been in medication and worked hard all her life and had to spend 15 minutes trying to explain a problem to a receptionist only to then be told to go to boots & buy some cream ! It’s appalling. My recent CONSULTATION if you can call it that was also a waste of my time as I was told to take paracetamol or call 111 if my symptoms got any worse - complete fob off. Haven’t the emergency services got enough to deal with - that’s why we have GP’s ?? Maybe we don’t need them anymore anyway - soon they’ll wonder why they don’t have jobs. In the meantime I’ve moved to another area so I’m hoping to change surgeries very soon. That won’t help my Mum & Dad though. Disgraceful - you should be ashamed of the care or should I say lack of care that you extend to your patients. Maybe it’s just the ones that shout the loudest or perhaps don’t speak the language that seem to take priority these days !
Usually too long a queue to hold on triage request much easier
I called in to surgery and asked receptionist if I could have a review of my medication and she made a telephone appointment with a doctor for this. Suited me fine as didn’t need to go to surgery and was able to talk to doctor about my medication.
