Took far too long to get through to the team, asked not to be given extra tablets but they still did, which gave me headaches. Could then not get through again to explain, asked for a face to face appointment and again asked not to be given extra tablets as I already have some but was only sent a text message to collect different tablets. Was not told why they did this or told their long term plan for me. Contacted again to ask for a face to face appointment and checked on the triage form that I would not be available on a morning where I had another appointment but was still booked in for an appointment at the same time I would have been elsewhere so I had to cancel it and start the process again. Only after chasing them for several days did I get to speak to someone who then told me what they was doing for me. Had been on the same tablets for 8 years and was told they would have been taking no effect for several years and that I should had been consulted of this years ago. Effectively I have been on non effective medication for my depression for years and as someone previously at risk of suicide and self harm this is unacceptable and could have been dangerous for me.

Suggested improvements
Explain to your patients why you are taking certain steps and listen to what your patients are asking. This has happened numerous times.
