the surgery has a booking system of phoning on the day, it took me 26 minutes to get through to the surgery to be told all appointments have already gone. when i asked to make an advanced appointment i was told there wasn't any until the following month. i'm happy to book an advanced appointment, as my problem isn't an emergency but to have to wait over a month is ridiculous. i'm very tempted to go to out of hours as it appears like you get seen sooner than at the surgery

I feel that this practice is awful and the reception staff are the most unhelpful unkind and rude people I have ever come across. I feel that if I was dying they would happily just put the phone down and pretend like they never even took a call. I do not feel like a welcome patient when I visit a Doctor due to no fault of my own and I feel very unhappy with the whole thing. I have been a patient for the last 21 years and feel I as well as others I have spoken to in the last few years have been treated with very little respect and have been extremely dissatisfied with the service I have been provided. I would happily change surgeries at the drop of a hat and I hope this is taken into consideration when reading this. I also feel that al telephone staff should be trained in some kind of customer service as sometimes it feels like talking to a caveman.

Awful service one doctor tells me to come back in 3 weeks to recheck blood pressure, after a week of ringing every morning being unable to get an appointment o finally get one to be told by a second doctor that he won't do my blood pressure and to buy a machine. Dr Ben Wilson is rubbish

The reception staff are friendly..but the booking system is ridiculous, if you are unable to physically go to the surgery at 8am then you can forget getting an appointment at all because it is IMPOSSIBLE to get through the phone from 8am for atleast 30 minutes and by the TIME you get through all the appointments are gone, or at an inconvinient time which means you have to take the whole day off work just in case are lucky enough to get an appointment, because you wont know what times will be available. It is ridiculous and you need a new system. The surgery is clean, but could I suggest a water cooler or something for patients in the waiting area? Regarding the service, I would like to say that Dr Sefton and Le Maistre in particular are very competent doctors; they listen, are caring and really follow up on your health and getting you better. They definitely restore my faith in doctors. I would like to add that as someone who has been coming to this surgery for 2+ years I have had a few sppointments with a doctor Wilson, a somewhat elderly doctor and I have to say that I absolutely dislike geting appointments with him, but often dont get a choice in changing who is available for an appointment. He is very cold, rude, uncaring VERY condenscending and talks to me (im not sure about other patients) as if im a nuisance or im unintelligent. While he does hes job, i have had him examine me before and he did not attempt to make me feel comfortable or reassured at all like other doctors would. I am not sure if he dislikes me in particular (i dont know him) or if he like that wih everyone but i cannot emphasise how unwelcome and how much of a dumb nuisance he made me feel. I will specifically ask for a different doctor from now on.
