The care given is OK but getting to see a doctor (making an appointment) is very difficult almost impossible when you phone up in the morning you cannot get given an appointment but when I came here today at just past 8 am it was not half a busy as I expected and I was given an appointment straight away.

Receptionists are quite rude with the exception of two. They speak very loudly and expect you to practically shout your name and address back so the whole waiting room can hear.. The reception desk needs to be lowered its far to high and if your in a wheelchair its like talking to the wall. Many receptionists would benefit from some more training on there communication skills and understanding of people in pain

I have been trying for several days to get an appointment but I am always being told there are no appointments available if I can get through on the phone at all On March 31st I managed to get through to the reception at 12 minutes past 8 ,there were still no appointments available. I was offered a phone appointment on wed April 6th ,this I consider is not acceptable asI have a knee problem that will definately need a physical inspection and possible referral I have been with this practice about 25 years and have always been happy with the help and guidance offered mainly by Dr greening but recently it is getting increasingly difficult to either talk to or visit a doctor on the day requested unless I can speak to Dr greening who will usually see me that day I am not one for requesting an appointment on a regular basis so when I do try to make an appointment it is usually necessary Clearly the doctors are under government pressure to take on more and more patients but because of this the service that is now being offered is deteriorating I am sure the above has been said to the practice on many occasions before , I just think it is sad that the service being offered is not as good as it used to be

I have recently registered at the surgery and had my appointment with Dr. Sefton who was excellent. However, when booking for a follow-up I was told the booking procedure has changed by the receptionist. If I want to book an appointment I have to call at 0800 and I can only book for that day. At this time I am commuting so I either leave late or phone at work whereby it is probable that a large number of appointments have been booked, nor can I warn my manager in advance if I have an appointment booked and need to come in late/leave early etc. It is possible to book a call with you GP but the receptionist apparently could not forward something onto the doctor to try and coordinate a time so that I will be beside my phone; at work I am not at my desk often and the slot is for the entire afternoon which is extremely vague and again, difficult to be beside my phone for the whole afternoon whilst preforming my other duties. Likewise, Saturdays are booked up a month in advance. Although the service is good, the booking system is ridiculous.
