I tend to go tobthe surgery reception and speak to the front desk staff, who are very welcoming and helpful. I am able to make an appointment, which may be in a week for non-urgent appointments. This has been so helpful to me as I am a full time worker and can't spend time on the phone. The surgery has a clean, calm atmosphere.i like the upgraded booking in system.

It was a phone consultation with the diabetic nurse Fiona. She was very professional very easy to talk to and explained everything regarding my results in such a manner that I now have a good grasp on future treatment.

I don’t think the service I have received could have been improved. Appointments and follow up calls were first class

It can be tricky to get an appointment sometimes. You may have to wait a week or more, on occasion, particularly as the team prefer you to see your own GP where possible. It depends on that GPs availability. I have been seen swiftly though by other Drs/Locums in the past week. My blood test was able to be offered to me within an hour of being at the surgery for my Drs appointment. The blood test was with Cara the nurse and Becky, trainee phlebotomist. Cara is always so kind, considerate, understanding and knowledgeable about so many things. She is extremely approachable, helpful and gives sound helpful advice. She is fun and easy to get on with. I always feel reassured after speaking with her. Becky, was/is an excellent receptionist at Henfield Medical Centre, who always goes above and beyond for the patients. She is incredibly kind, approachable, professional and understanding, whilst also being effective and efficient in the tasks she undertakes on behalf of the patients and the medical team. I am thrilled she is wanting to take her training further. Congratulations. Cara is a wonderful mentor to her also. Both these ladies are a huge asset to the surgery and the service, care and sensitivity their bring to each patient’s individual needs or concerns. Hazelle Woodhurst-White

I think it is very important to get DBS in place for all members of the receptionist team. When a patient wishes to speak to a member of staff in private, there needs to be a dedicated space within the surgery to be able to do this. As the receptionist team do not all have their DBS approvals in place, they are not therefore permitted to speak with a patient in a private room. This needs to be remedied. Patients do not seats want to air private and sensitive subjects through a glass window, with a cue of people behind them, and a busy waiting room. Another window would also be a helpful addition when at the reception desk, so more people can be helped at the same time. Having to raise your voice to be heard through the opening in the screen, is not what patients want to do, when talking about something private to them.
