I wanted to make a totally non urgent apt with my GP (who had been changed without notifying me) but I couldn't get one within either 1or 2 weeks because of work, life etc, and then further on couldn't be accessed by the receptionists.

I don't see why it's not possible to make an apt for (for example) 8th January (random date)
