They need to re think their way of dealing with appointments to generally wait over 4 weeks for a routine appointment is ludacris, having seen other doctors at the surgery and havent been very helpful in explaining what the condition i had/have, albeit a minor condition in the grand scheme of things. However i felt that what i was prescribed wasnt explained to me what effect the medication would have on me, Dr Mayet was very helpful and helped me enormously.

Whilst the staff are always pleasant and helpful, the physical environment is very poor. The whole place needs refurbishing to bring it up to standard. The intercom system is so poor that it's impossible to hear what is being said. An electronic board with your name flashing up would be a big improvement. The parking area to the rear of the building is also scruffy and has a lot of wasted space. With a little re-organising it could yield a number of additional parking bays. I would like to be notified by text that test results have been received and to have them made available online. There's a lack of consistency between online and phone appointments with only phone appointments generating reminders. This should be across the board regardless of how the appointment is made.

I have been a patient at Fern House Surgery for over 34 years, during which time I have have enjoyed excellent care. The Practice has grown enormously over this time. Because of the huge number of people that are cared for it often takes a while to get a regular appointment, but if there is an emergency, one is always seen by a Doctor, Nurse or advised accordingly.

Booking appointments on line is always do able however you wait a day to get through on the phones unfortunately:-(
