I have blood tests regularly and my veins are a challenge. In the past I had this done at the William Harvey but I now have this done at the surgery by Kerry who is expert at getting my samples.
I attended the surgery on the morning of the 27th May for surgery to remove a large basal cell carcinoma from my upper left arm. The surgery was carried out by Dr Bill Warrilow and his wife Dr Susanne. I was talked through the whole process to be carried out with excellent drawings to ensure that I fully understood the necessary procedure all of which put me completely at ease. The surgery was carried out during which further explanation on progress was given and any questions I had were answered in a reassuring manner.
In summary, overall a very pleasant experience, considering what I was there for. The treatment I received was in my view, second to none. A sincere thank you to both doctors.
The whole system of call at 8am is a real problem for those as really needing an appointment. The telephone system just to speak to a receptionist to request a call back to see if your even allowed an appointment is 6 minutes long and far to complicated for the elderly. Not to mention the speed and hast the receptionist try to get you off of the phone, before you have even explained the reason for your call. I think the communication and services from the receptionist is very poor and patronising. Should not take 3 weeks to get a blood test done.
Dr Warrilow excised a large sebaceous cyst from my back. His excellent local analgesia and very proficient technique meant the operation was totally painless and done very rapidly. He also removed a large skin flap that had progressed to more than a “cosmetic” irritation.he was assisted by his wife, also a very competent doctor and the whole experience was calm, relaxed and very informative. I would recommend the Charing Surgery in Kent wholeheartedly and especially the two Drs Warrilow.
I was very nervous about my surgery but Dr’s Warrilow, looked after me fantastically well from the moment I walked in until the moment I left. Thank you.
