You wait too long to connect to be told no appointments available and to call back the following day to be caught in the same circle.

To see patients face to face and not by telephone consult. I have been misdiagnosed a few too many times by having to send a photo or receptionists guessing what’s wrong with me

Phone contact can be difficult, particularly in the morning.

On the day everything was good and worked as it should do. The only issue is getting an appointment in the first place.

Too often the appointments for same day or one week hence have gone irrespective of how close to 8am one rings. Ring back tomorrow doesn’t help much. THAT SAID having recently been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes I seem to have risen in the pecking order of concern when asking for an appointment and I have been triaged well by the surgery (rather than 111) and received professional, rapid and compassionate care by Greta, Nicky and Dr Simkin. All three have contributed to how I feel about myself and my condition, thank you.

I do think you need another look at the standard appointment system. It just seems inefficient and resource heavy if we keep having to ‘ring back, ring back’ every call back has to be answered by someone and that can’t help your resourcing

Am very needle phobic and the nurse was amazing, calm and acted as though we had plenty of time and gave me the best experience I could have had under the circumstances. Am very grateful for that and she was just so lovely
