The nurse that we saw was excellent. My son has been allergic to dogs for as long as I can remember. He always has an asthma flair up afterwards. She suggested he started a new medication and he can now see dogs without a reaction. I’m so grateful that she thought it was an important thing to sort. The receptionist was also very helpful, enabling my NHS account to be twinned with my son’s so that I can re order his medication when needed.

Called for a non emergency appointment after 9am. This was booked quickly and follow up appointments also.

Not relevant this time as appointment at surgery's suggestion by text. Usually, impossible to get through on the phone or, when through, no appointments left. Used 111 instead which should not be necessary.

On this appointment all was fine in terms of doing an annual check against criteria set by the surgery. No questioning about Diana's recent fall (that resulted in ambulance attending); no discussion about her very poor balance - she needs someone in authority to persuade her to use a walking frame before something more disastrous happens - and this could have been an opportunity.

You have to get on the phone by 8am, but even if you're on the phone at 8.02am there is no appointments left. There are no appointments available in advance either.

The phlebotomist that took my blood was amazing at taking the blood but after the draw went to put a plaster on whereas I am allergic to plasters. They should have read through my notes prior to the appointment as it is very clearly stated.
