A completely empty surgery meant I heard all the enquiries with the receptionist. Unfortunately I was left stunned at how she spoke to people. Incredibly rude, abrupt and obnoxious. She even asked an elderly gentleman if he had his hearing aids in - in an aggressive way - as she has zero patience for him being hard of hearing. There were other, equally blunt exchanges. Her manner was horrible. Why so rude to people? Maybe she was having a bad day? If it’s the norm then she really does need training or put in a back room role.
You can ring the Surgery at 8.00 a.m. and at your first attempt cannot get through. You can leave it a couple of minutes get through but find you are in a queur of 20 or more people. When you do get through to a receptionist you are unable to get to see your GP.
Doctors have been incredibly supportive especially Dr Foster.
I could die waiting for a human to speak to and get an appointment to see an actual doctor. It's easier and quicker to drive to the surgery and speak to reception.
Both witnessed and experienced unhelpful and unfriendly. attitude of receptionist. However nurse I had my appointment with was lovely.
