When I called at the surgery I was told it was too late in the day to get an appointment as they had all been allocated. It was suggested I request an appointment via the online service and I received a phone call the following day with an appointment two days later. It seemed an efficient method of obtaining an appointment and I will use it again in the future.

Suggested improvements
Perhaps put a sign up in the reception area notifying people that this is a good way of getting an appointment.
