So long waiting on the telephone. Fortunately it was only to see tge nurse for a shingles vaccination.

Due to traffic circumstances in the area I arrived 10 minutes late for my appointment. The gentleman behind the reception desk was very helpful and arranged for me to be seen. He was polite and extremely helpful. Only gave 3*s not as a reflection to this surgery regarding easy to get appointments; think anyone anywhere to give anything higher is not the true reflection of the current NHS pressure. However well done to the reception team at Avisford. And thanks again.

Long wait on the phone but once through, the receptionist was friendly and helpful. I think her name was Annette.

More people answering the phones. I work in the NHS and don’t have time in my working hours at the hospital to be hanging on the phone for 20 minutes in a queue.

It is not easy to get an appointment on the phone. I usually ho yonthe surgery. The "on the day" appointment system is ridiculous. I saw a young locum Dr who had yo fill in an online form for a referral appointment for me. She muttered, and l didn't know if she was talking to me or not. Needs sort on patient interaction! She wrote a referral letter also for an orthopaedic consultation which has 2 factual errors in it. I have NOT had the symptoms for only 3 months, that is when l had the x Ray. Also, the x Ray report says moderate to severe degeneration. I felt she disregarded my pain. So, to sum up, receptionists doing their best with the system, but l feel personally, reluctant to even try to get an appointment. Makes me feel like a nuisance, so people like me just try to self medicate znd put up with problems .....until it is too late.

It would be marvellous to have a gp who knew you personally!
