Overall the service was excellent however I was on the phone waiting to speak to a representative and it took 90 minutes to get through

I rang at 8.30, was 27 in que, strange as phone line opens at 8.30, no appointment left, got clinician call back, prescribed antibiotics without being seen, thankfully they did the trick

It is always difficult to get an appt even when ringing at 08:30 exactly. 20-30 minute wait and then no appts left.

Suggested improvements
Need to have more than one person answering the phone at 8:30, travelling to work for 9 is impossible if waiting up to 45 mins to be picked up.

I have had excellent service from avisford surgery. I find all the Drs I have seen very thorough kind and helpful. I have been dealing with a lot since a major operation in 2019 to put a shunt into my spinal cord for which I deal subsequently with a lot of pain in my shoulders and burning in my legs. A lot is dealt with by managing with as minimal drugs as possible, a bit of a juggling act! I also have migraine and high cholesterol which am managing with drugs. The statin I’m now on seems to cause less muscle pain. I’m hoping to get a lot fitter having recently retired and being more healthy with foods that are the good cholesterol rather than the bad. Also I will start swimming again and go walking more often All the staff seem so friendly and helpful at Avisford

I did use 111 and was unsuccessful in getting relevant help within the time available to get to a pharmacy on a Sunday. I rang the GP Monday morning at 8 30. A short wait of 20 minutes and I was able to speak to receptionist who made an appointment for that morning. I saw a Physician Associate. I was given a prescription via text later on in the morning.
