I was contacted by the surgery following a referral from the optician.

Suggested improvements
There was very little human interaction. I checked in on the screen. The nurse apologised for being late and said that she would take my blood and test my blood pressure. She told me my pressure result and that was it. At no point did anyone ask how I was, or even exchange pleasantries. As a pensioner, this may have been my only human interaction in a number of days (it wasn't, thankfully). I did not feel that I was treated as a person, just as an appointment. I have not seen a GP in years.
