I was asked to book an appointment by text so it was fairly easy. However it did say I was going to see a doctor and I think it was a practice nurse that I saw, who was very pleasant and friendly

Suggested improvements
I had 2 separate texts. 1 to complete a 7 day blood pressure reading and 1 to make an appointment for a hypertension check and to bring a urine sample. The person I saw had no idea I was asked to provide a urine sample or that my home blood pressure monitoring had been asked for, asking me who had requested both. She then wanted to book me in to see a doctor regarding blood pressure, although it wasn't taken on my visit. She wasn't allowed to book anything so we both went out to reception and the receptionist told the nurse that she had to speak to someone in a room behind reception but there were already 3 people waiting for that person. To save me waiting the nurse said she would message me. I did get a text when I got home that a telephone call had been booked with a doctor for 3 weeks time. My impression is that the whole process was very longwinded and disjointed, and in a phrase-the left hand has no idea what the right had is doing. Seemed a very messy system
