Ringing on the dot at 8.30 there is always a queue - often times it’s been in its 40’s. By the time you get through the appointments for the day have been allocated. You are then not allowed to make an appointment for the following day and have to ring back next morning. Unless it’s an appointment that has been requested by a doctor it’s very difficult to get an appointment

Suggested improvements
On this occasion I came for a blood test which was very painful while doing it. Once home a little while later I took off the cotton pad to discover I had the most enormous lump and bruising. I didn’t think this was normal and returned to the surgery.-no point in phoning, they would’ve told me to just get on with it I guess. The receptionist were helpful and found the nurse who had done the blood test. She saw me put a pad and a compression tube on it in case it leaked and said put some heat on it. Come back Monday if it’s not gone down. It’s now Sunday morning the lump has gone down slightly, but I have the most enormous bruising. I have taken photos and can show them if need be. my purpose in telling you, this is not cause problems for the nurse, but just feel need to be made aware of it.
